Hack your Prius, drive 100 miles on one gallon of gas »
Posted by: KeithMcDuffee 2 years, 1 month agoA year and a half ago, a Monrovia, Calif., engineer hacked his Prius by replacing the battery with a lithium-ion version and adding a system that plugs into an ordinary 110-volt socket. Now the car gets roughly twice the gas mileage it gets with the typical battery.

July 14, 2006, 7:58 p.m.I would like to add a "Use at your own risk" sticker to it. Recently, with a Dell Laptop in Osaka, JP; Lithium Ion battery caused an explosion on the laptop.
Good idea modding a Prius ;-)
